Ask yourself.. What is IMPORTANT TO YOU when choosing a Wedding Photographer, and questions to ask
Not just the amount of reviews, but what they actually say about the Photographer. You can get to know them from what people say about them
Whilst not a legal requirement, it is important for a Photographer to protect themselves and their business from claims
How long have they been a wedding photographer? There are thousands of photographers, do your due diligence of experience, and how that fits with what is important to you, and what you are looking for
Do you have a style in your mind, how you want your photos to look and feel - discuss this with the photographer. Styles are subjective, and many photographers can adapt
Does their website showcase their offering, how they work, what you receive and how to contact them?
Have a look at their social media pages, follow them, look at what they post, this can also give you ideas for your wedding
Always make sure you receive a contract, and read it before signing it. What does it say about cancellations?, What happens in the event of illness?, About deposits and balances?. What does it say about how and when you receive your wedding photos?
Make sure the package you discuss is right for you, and covers what you want it to cover.. i.e. Wedding Prep to 1st dance etc, and no hidden extras
Stay in touch with your photographer, dont be afraid to contact them with questions. They should also communicate with you periodically (especially when getting close to the wedding)
